Ari Sandel started his career in the entertainment industry creating and hosting the comedic TV segment, The Traveler, for the FX Channel’s, The X Show. Ari wrote, directed, and hosted the segment for two seasons as he traveled the globe, offering a tongue-in-cheek view of the world’s unknown hot spots for the young and hip.

Ari directed and co-wrote the short film, West Bank Story, which premiered at Sundance and won an Academy Award in 2007. His documentary, Vince Vaughn’s Wild West Comedy Show,  premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and was released nationwide in theatres in 2008. Since then, Ari has been in development on a multitude of feature film projects at Warner Brothers, Fox, and Lionsgate to name a few. He recently directed Aim High 2 for Warner Brothers and is currently attached to direct The D.U.F.F. for CBS Films.  In addition to directing and writing, he is a member of the Academy of Motion Pictures of Arts and Sciences where he currently holds a position on the Executive Committee of the Animation/Shorts Branch. Ari also speaks globally about short filmmaking and how to tackle controversial subjects through comedy.
